FC Halifax Town will travel to Solihull Moors on Wednesday in the Vanarama National League play-off eliminator, 7pm kick-off.

The Shaymen finished the league season in 7th place and were due to face an away trip to Altrincham but due to Gateshead not being allowed to take part in the play-offs, Altrincham have been given a bye and Town have to travel to Solihull.

Town won 3-0 away at Eastleigh at the weekend to ensure a play-off place thanks to goals from Adan George, Jamie Cooke and Max Wright for an 11th away victory of the season.

Chris Millington’s side have been excellent away from home this season with victories at Eastleigh, Kidderminster, Oxford, Dagenham, Dorking, Altrincham, Gateshead, Ebbsfleet, Woking, Rochdale & Oldham during the league campaign.

Solihull fnished 5th in the league with 10 home wins, 6 draws and 7 defeats

They finished the season with a 1-0 home win over York at the weekend thanks to a late Jack Stevens goal.

Moors have picked up 18 points from the last 30 on offer and have just one loss in their last five games.

The two sides met at the Armco Arena back in August and the points were shared with a 1-1 draw, whilst Solihull won 3-1 at the Shay in February.

There will be a couple of familiar faces in the Solihull squad with Matt Warburton and Jay Benn now playing for Moors.

The winners will face a trip to Barnet on Saturday in the play-off semi-finals, 5.30pm kick-off.
