Our mission statement broadly describes what the committee is trying to achieve and is as follows: The Halifax Town Supporters’ Club is an independent group that focuses on matters involving FC Halifax Town and its supporters. Our aim is to support and promote FC Halifax Town and to serve our members’ interests. We are the supporters’ voice within the club that is proactive and open for all to join’.
What can members expect from being part of the HTSC?
A voice within the club. If a member has any issues / comments / questions that they would like the HTSC committee to raise with FCHT then they can let a committee member know who will then reply in due course with a response as to how the committee intend to take the request forward.
Opportunities to help with fund raising. By keeping membership free for all members with a valid e-mail address, the committee hopes that as many members as possible will feel able to participate in one or more of our fundraising activities. Our principal non match day fund raisers for the 2022 / 2023 season will be the Skircoat 50/50 monthly draw, the Goal-O-Meter and the Two Grand FCHT Wall. Members are also asked to look out for other fund raisers as the season progresses and, when attending a game at the Shay, also consider supporting the HTSC match day bucket collection where it will usually also be possible to pick up a team sheet.
Knowledge that they are ‘on the list’. As we have members contact details we will be in a position to let them know about anything important happening at FCHT that we think they would benefit from knowing. We envisage this developing as time goes by and this may involve sharing member details with FCHT. We, of course, will not share any details without members permission and as this develops it is likely that we will have an ‘opt out’ open register that we share with the club and members can decide what, if any, of their details are shared.
Second priority after season ticket holders for games with limited tickets. The above mentioned open register will allow us to progress this where necessary.
A regular Newsletter. At the moment this is an intention but we will be looking to communicate regularly throughout the season.
HTSC Merchandise. We are looking to continue to grow this service to supporters. As well as the clothing range, enamel pin badges are proving very popular and all HTSC members are welcome to join a priority list which will ensure they are able to obtain one or more of every badge that we produce. We are planning on keeping our regular merchandise stalls in the East and South Stands on selected dates throughout the 2022 / 2023 season. All HTSC products can be ordered to arrive through the post.
Entry into the HTSC Grand end of season draw. Every member will receive one entry into the draw. Members can increase their chances of winning by taking part in one of the HTSC fundraisers. Members will receive one additional entry for every £10 spent on a HTSC fundraiser (currently Skircoat 50/50, Grand £2k Wall and Goal-O-Meter) There are currently two first prizes of an Adult Season Ticket for the 2023/2024 season. As the season progresses we expect to add many more exciting and unique prizes into the draw.
The committee will continue to look at developing more member benefits. Suggestions are welcome, as are any offers of help particularly on match days. If anyone feels that they could offer any time to help then it would be great to hear from them. Our committee meetings are held on the first Monday of each month on Zoom so for anyone who feels that they would like to apply to join the committee, distance is not an issue.
Membership is free for all members with an active email address. Membership is also free for those without e-mail but we reserve the right in the future to request a small charge to cover postage where a mailing is required. Membership of the Halifax Town Supporters’ Club does not expire at the end of each season so unless we hear from a member otherwise, their membership will be valid until such point that we conduct a refresh to meet our GDPR obligations, which will be a few years down the line. In the meantime, we do request that, if any member details change, that we are notified so that we can amend our records.
