Salisbury: Fancy A Flutter

FC Halifax Town are even money to exact revenge on fellow high-flyers Salisbury City, as the Whites make the long trip up to the Shay on Tuesday night.

Town (1/1) are looking for their first win of 2014 after defeat at Tamworth on Saturday, and are well backed to do so, while the visitors are priced at 23/10 to inflict a league double, with the draw is 12/5.

FCHT – without Dan Gardner for the first time after his move to Chesterfield – failed to net on Saturday for the first time since November 2013, but will be hopeful of getting back on track on Tuesday evening. In the four home league games the Shaymen have played on Tuesday nights so far this season, FCHT have notched 13 goals in three wins and one draw. The Shaymen are 8/11 to score the first goal, and are 9/2 to score two or more goals in the first period – something the achieved in both of their last two home games.

Goals have become an inevitability in Town games, and with Lee Gregory around, it’s difficult to predict otherwise. It’s 8/11 for three or more goals on Tuesday night, while both teams scoring can be backed at 4/6. Salisbury have impressed everyone thus far in this season’s Skrill Conference Premier, and at 100/30, both teams to net in the first period seems a hefty price.

In terms of score lines, good odds can be found on a Town win. 2-0 is 9/1, while 2-1 is a massive 15/2. For the Shaymen to reverse the score line of August’s meeting at Salisbury, it’s 14/1 for a 3-1 win.

Other tempting match specials include Town to be winning at HT and FT 21/10, Town to score in the first ten minutes 11/2, and four or more goals to be scored in the game a practically enticing 7/4.
