Joe Cullen

Cullen played for Halifax in two separate spells, three years apart. His first was a loan from Sheffield United during the 1999/2000 season.

The second was a short spell in 2003. In total he represented Town 18 times.

Almost immediately after his first spell with the club, he joined Peterborough United on a permanent transfer, making 43 appearances in two years at the club.

Phil Bolland

The Centre-back spent one season at Oxford united making 20 appearances during the 2001/02 season.

It wouldn’t be until 10 years later when Bolland would sign for Town, but he only stayed for one season and found first team minutes hard to come by, only making seven appearances throughout the season.

Dave Longhurst

The late Dave Longhurst, tragically lost his life whilst on the pitch, suffering a heart attack back in 1990 at the age of just 25.

Longhurst scored 25 league goals for Town in just two seasons at the club between 1985 and 87.

After spending one season at home-town club Northampton, the striker joined Peterborough, where he made 58 appearances scoring seven goals.

Other notable players:

Lee Jeff, Scott Houghton, Lee Power, Michael Williams, Tony Smith
