FC Halifax Town kept their one hundred percent record with a 1-0 win over Dagenham & Redbridge. Manager Pete Wild spoke to Shaymen TV to give his thoughts on the game.

The manager discussed another solid display, winning our first three game on the trot, boasting seven different goal-scorers, and our next match against Wrexham.

Thoughts on the game…

“We had to dig deep today. Dagenham put us under a lot pressure. They had a lot of the ball. They probably deserved a point. Today was another resolute display. We found a different way to win today. We had to do a lot of defending. We’re probably about a week behind everybody else. To find a way to win was very pleasing.”

On the 100 percent record…

“There’s a long way to go. But we’ll just keep working hard. We don’t care about anybody else. We don’t care about league tables. We’re just here to work hard. Make sure we put points on the board. You never know what will happen from there.”

On Town boasting seven different goal-scorers from three games…

“It’s great. It shows we can get goals from all over the pitch. It’ll be important as we go across the season. As a coach you can’t ask for more than that.”

On the next match away to Wrexham…

“It’s a big test. You go there and everybody will be thinking ‘the run will finish’. We can go there and get a positive result. Who knows what will happen? We’ll be going there to play our own game. We will see where that takes us.”
