Speaking to super center-half Simon Ainge after the Cambridge United home game he offered his thoughts ahead of a challenging long trip to Aldershot Town this weekend.

“Yeah we are looking forward to it, we got a good result away at Wrexham and a clean sheet last week so we will go there looking for a clean sheet and hopefully get three points this time.”

“I think we have shown we can compete against anyone in this league, we will obviously go to the game knowing it’s a tough game, probably as tough as today (Cambridge) and away it’s harder so we will be going in focused and going in wanting to get three points as well.”

Ainge spoke of the importance goal scorer Lee Gregory has on the team.

“He did good today, his hold up play was brilliant today and he’s got another goal we are not forgetting feeding him will get us goals so yeah it was good for him to get another goal for us today”

Marlon Jackson and Craig Clay both made their debuts against Cambridge last time out and are expected to play some part at Aldershot, Ainge commented on what they have to offer.

“They have both come in and done well, its obviously a tough game to come in but its good because they can play on adrenaline a bit as well and at our home and the fans get behind us and we have a good home record, but I think they have both come in and got us a good result.”
