Fc Halifax Town’s trip to Bromsgrove on Saturday to take on Worcester City will be the 7th competitive meeting between the two sides.

Last time out, goals from Kevin Roberts, Josh Wilde and Tom Denton sealed a 3-0 win at the Shay on the second game of the season as Town started their season with two wins.

The first ever meeting was to be a certain Jamie Vardy’s last ever game in a Halifax Town shirt, as just days later he was snapped up by Fleetwood. He scored the opening goal in a 1-1 draw at St George’s Park.

In January 2012, there was a dramatic finish in the return fixture, as two stoppage time goals, from Cameron Darkwah and Lee Gregory won the game after Worcester had taken the lead in the first half.

In December of the same year, Gareth Seddon scored the only goal in a 1-0 away victory, before four Gregory goals and an Alex Titchiner finish saw Town win 5-0 at the Shay.

Two days before Christmas 2014, Scott Boden scored the only goal in an FA Trophy tie to see the Shaymen through to the next round.

That’s five wins from six games against Worcester, with 13 goals scored and only two conceded. Town will be looking to maintain that impressive record on Saturday afternoon.
