The league leaders had to wait until the 69th minute when Daniel Bradley broke the deadlock and Caspar Hughes ensured the three points just 8 minutes later.
Salford City conceded four goals in the second half at the MBi Shay Stadium on Saturday but tonight they scored four of their own without reply from Nuneaton.
Mike Phenix put them ahead on 24 minutes, they doubled their lead on 56 minutes with a Kelvin Langmead own goal.
Mike Nottingham made it 3-0 just five minutes later and it was Simon Grand who rounded the scoring off with 15 minutes left on the clock
In the final game, Altrincham faced a long trip south to take on Brackley Town and it looked good for Alty when Nicky Clee put them ahead on 6 minutes but the home side hit back through James Armson on 25 minutes. That’s how the scoring finished but Brackley finished with 10 men as Gareth Dean got his marching orders after 90+6 minutes
