FC Halifax Town travel to Meadow Lane to take on Notts County in the Vanarama National League on Saturday 14 September; 3pm kick off. 

Pete Wild’s side go into Saturday’s game in 2nd place following a 2-0 defeat last time out at home to Yeovil Town – Town’s first home league defeat of the season.

Despite this, The Shayman sit top of the National League form table based on the last five games, having taken 12 points from a possible 15 points.

Town have won their last two games away from home. In their last away match, Town beat Chesterfield 3-2, with goals courtesy of Jamie Allen, Nathan Clarke and  Cameron King. Prior to that, FC Halifax Town came from behind to beat Barrow 2-1 on Monday 26 August.

As for opponents Notts County, they sit in mid table of the National League in 14th position. Neal Ardley’s side have taken six points from their last five games, with their best result of that run coming on Monday 26 August as they demolished Chorley 5-1 at Meadow Lane.

The Magpies have drawn their last two games, earning a point in a 1-1 draw with Sutton and a 0-0 draw with Solihull Moors respectively.

Kristian Dennis has caught the eye for Ardley’s side so far this season, notching four goals so far this season for County.

Saturday’s game will be officiated by Andrew Miller who will be assisted by linesmen Michael D’Aguilar and Tom Bowkett. Gareth Davis will be the fourth official.
