- They play at Victoria Park, which opened in 1886 and has a capacity of 7,858 with 4,180 of that being seated.
- The record attendance at the ground was in 1957 when an FA Cup 3rd Round game against Manchester United was witnessed by a crowd of 17,264. Hartlepool lost 4-3.
- Hartlepool were relegated into the National League on the final day of the 16/17 season after finishing 23rd in League Two.
- After some financial trouble last year, the club was sold to Raj Singh, narrowly avoiding liquidation.
- The club’s mascot “H ’Angus the Monkey” aka Stuart Drummond, was elected mayor of Hartlepool in the 2002 council election under the slogan “free bananas for children.”

- Hartlepool are nicknamed The Monkey Hangers.
- The club’s highest ever feat was reaching the League One play-off final in the 04/05 season, where they were beaten 4-2 by Sheffield Wednesday.
- Well-known Sky Sports News presenter Jeff Stelling is a life-long supporter of the club.
- When the club were founded in 1908, they were originally known as Hartlepools United Football Athletic Company.
