After three wins from the opening three matches, FC Halifax Town boss, Jamie Fullarton, spoke to the official website to look ahead to the next game on Tuesday night against Salford City.
Salford City currently sit 21st in the league after once again falling to defeat. We asked Jamie what he made of Salford’s recent run of form.
“It’s irrelevant what their results are. We look beyond results and look at their performances. We’re looking forward to the game because of the rivalry from when we were in the National League North with them”.
Jamie and the team will certainly be excited for the mid-week trip to the north west but it’s now the fourth game in just ten days. We asked Jamie if he enjoyed the hectic schedule.
“In terms of preparation it just means it’s accelerated. You’ve got to be mindful when you have a small squad and a stretched squad. Seven games in a month is demanding but that’s the nature of the beast and we must deal with that. So far, the players have responded well and it’s important that we are strategic in our preparation on a weekly and daily basis. We’re looking to peak in every game that we play”.
