Following FC Halifax Townβs 3-0 friendly victory over North Ferriby United, Billy Heath gave his thoughts on another good pre-season performance for the Shaymen.
Tom Denton bagged the opener for Town on his 28th birthday and Heath was full of praise for the former-Ferriby striker. He said: βHeβs looked as sharp and fit as in any pre-season Iβve had him. People think he just scores with his head but he scores a lot with his feet.β
Matty Kosylo and Bohan Dixonβs first for the club added some gloss to the score line, with all three strikes from outside the penalty area.
Town boss Heath used the match to cast his eye over trialist Mark Ross, formerly of Stockport County and Chorley. Heath said, βRoss came in at right-back, heβs a good player whoβs done very well tonight.β
On the match as a whole a pragmatic Heath said: βWe went in at half-time 2-0 up but it was a little more even than that. It was a good run out for us, weβve had a look at 4-4-2 again and it was nice to get some goals.β
Returning to North Ferriby where he enjoyed a successful spell at Grange Lane, Heath said: βItβs been good seeing some old faces. Itβs a lovely football club and itβs been a good night for us.β
