Galvin came through the youth ranks at Wigan Athletic before making the switch to Hillsborough in January 2020 following a successful trial. The defender made his debut for The Owls in a 2-0 FA Cup 3rdΒ Round win against Exeter City in January 2021 and at the end of the 2021/22 season, a one-year option was activated on his contract to keep him at the club until the Summer of 2022. In August 2021, Galvin joined National League North side Gloucester City on an initial one-month loan which was extended until January 2022.
During his time with Gloucester, he also signed a one-year contract extension with Sheffield Wednesday.
In September 2022, the left-back joined Maidstone United on loan in the National League, and started against the Shaymen in our 1-1 draw at the Gallagher Stadium in October.
An initial two-month loan spell was extended for one month on two occasions, keeping him at the Stones until January before the loan was extended again, this time until the end of the season. Galvin made 28 appearances in all competitions for Maidstone, scoring twice. At the end of the 2022/23 season, Galvin was one of seven players released by the Owls as they confirmed their return to the Championship.
