FC Halifax Town are delighted to confirm the signing of defender of Oliver Smith, from League One side Bolton Wanderers.
The young defender joined the youth setup at Bolton in 2022, progressing most recently to their B team.
Capable of playing at both centre back and right back, Smith signed his first professional contract with the club in July 2025. So far this season, Smith has featured for the first team twice, both times in the Vertu Trophy. He played the majority of a 1-0 win over Rotherham, and was a second half substitute in a 3-0 win over Manchester City under 21s.
