Evans, who can play in both midfield and at left-back began his career in the Blackburn Rovers youth system earning his first professional deal in 2018. Evans made a short loan spell to Lancaster City in the Northern Premier League Premier Division in 2019 and made just four appearances in all competitions. In 2020, he left Blackburn to join then League Two side Forest Green Rovers, making his debut for the Rovers in September 2020. In December 2020, Evans joined National League South side Hungerford Town on a one-month loan deal where he made three appearances, scoring once in all competitions. In January 2022, he joined AFC Fylde for the remainder of the 2021/22 season and went on to make seven appearances as The Coasters finished third but lost to Boston United in the play-off semi-final.
At the end of the 2021/22 season, Evans was one of seven players released by Forest Green and signed for Hereford in July 2022. He made 29 appearances in all competitions for The Bulls, scoring three, however missed part of the season after suffering from an elbow dislocation and broken arm in training. Evans returned to play the final few games of the season as Hereford finished in 16th place and was offered a new contract to remain with The Bulls, but turned it down to sign for the Shaymen.
