FC Halifax Town were defeated by York City on Wednesday in a game of two halves.
Town started the game off strong as they found success with their high press in the first half, this pressure would eventually break the visitors down as Filipe Castello opened the scoring in the 25th to put Halifax 1-0 up, however a lack of composure in front of goal kept the hosts from doubling or tripling their lead before halftime.
Unfortunately for The Town these mistakes would prove to be costly as the visitors came flying out the gates after the break as they would equalise in the 55th minute, York would double and triple their goal tally in the 82nd and 90th minutes with their only shots on target of the half, showing the cutting edge Halifax didn’t in the first half.
