FC Halifax Town will travel to York City in a Yorkshire derby on Saturday in the Vanarama National League, 3pm kick-off.

The Shaymen go into the game in 7th place following Wednesday night’s 0-0 draw with Rochdale at home.

Town have picked up 21 points from the last 33 on offer in the league and will be looking to return to winning ways on the road, last time out they lost 3-1 at Southend United.

However Town’s record on the road this season is excellent with wins at Tamworth, Solihull, Gateshead, Aldershot, Yeovil, Boston, Maidenhead and Ebbsfleet so far and have only lost away at Southend, Rochdale and Braintree.

York are in 2nd place, 11 points above the Shaymen and won 13, drawn 1 and lost 2 on home soil this season

They lost 3-1 away at Barnet in midweek which brought an end of three victories in a row with wins against Ebbsfleet, Woking and Dagenham

The only sides to have won at the LNER have been Boston in August and Sutton in January

Daniel Batty, Billy Chadwick and Jeff King have all played for York this season, whilst Luca Thomas played for York earlier in the campaign whilst on loan from Leeds United.
