New loan signing Shawn McCoulsky spoke to Shaymen TV about his move to the club, and yesterdayโ€™s 2-0 defeat away at Yeovil.

McCoulsky told Shaymen TV about how his side of the deal came about.

โ€œI went on loan to Bromley earlier in the season, just for a month, and came back to Forest Green. When I came back, I got injured, so thing was that I had to come out again and get some game time. The Forest Green manager pulled me and said, โ€œHalifax are interested in you and they want to get you some game time.โ€ I thought it was the best thing for me going forward to come back from injury as well.โ€

The striker said heโ€™s found it easy to settle into the group.

โ€œFrom day one, even before I trained, thereโ€™s a house up there I stay in, thereโ€™s a few lads in there so I met them before I trained. They all welcomed me really well, and I feel at home already.โ€

When asked what Shaymen fans could expect from his style of play, McCoulsky explained;

โ€œIโ€™m a fast player, I love to get in the box, I love to score goals, obviously. I just like to give defences problems.โ€

Reflecting on the game against Yeovil itself, McCoulsky said;

โ€œObviously, itโ€™s the not the result we wanted. We didnโ€™t play to our game plan as much towards the end of the game, which caused us to go 2-0 down.โ€

Nevertheless, the new man is confident that the team can bounce back in the FA Trophy in Saturday and is looking forward to playing at The Shay.

โ€œAny cup runโ€™s good obviously, to play in and get to the final, so weโ€™re gonna give it our all in that game and hopefully we will beat Wrexham next week- and to make my debut at The Shay next week, I canโ€™t wait to do that, obviously to make my home debut in front of the fans, and hopefully Iโ€™ll pay them back with a goal.โ€
