FC Halifax Town face National League leaders Wrexham this Tuesday 4th September at The Racecourse Ground in a bid to regain their place back at the top of the league.

Last game out FC Halifax Town came away with a point after drawing 1-1 to contenders Sutton United. Dayle Southwell scored the equaliser for the Shaymen to avoid a third defeat this season. The draw has pushed FC Halifax Town down three places though going from first to fourth, sitting one point behind Wrexham in top position.

Jamie Fullarton’s side have only one of their four away games this season, beating Braintree Town 2-0 on the first game of the season. It’s been less than they deserve though losing extremely close affairs to Salford City and conceding a 96th minute goal to Boreham Wood. Last game out against Sutton United, FC Halifax Town could’ve come away with all three points on a different day.

Wrexham remain unbeaten at home, winning two and draw two of their four games at The Racecourse Ground. They came out 2-0 winners at home against Aldershot on the weekend, Youngster Jordan Maguire-Drew was on the scoresheet again as he continues a good loan spell on loan from Premier League Side Brighton. Former FC Halifax Town striker Mike Fondop-Talom is Wrexham’s top scorer and one of the top scorer’s in the league on five goals. Three points for FC Halifax Town on Tuesday will put them two points ahead of Wrexham and maybe top of the league.
