FC Halifax Town comfortably turned over a Wolves Under-21s side 3-0 with an impressive second-half performance from the Shaymen.
Town began the game as the better of the two sides, earning back-to-back corners inside the first two minutes, but nothing came of it for the Shaymen.
The first shot of the game went to the Shaymen as well, with an uninspiring effort from Ben Tollitt at the penalty area of the box after 14 minutes.
Neither team took control of the first 25 minutes, with a few hopeful balls into the box from the Shaymen, but nobody met them with any real intent.
First big chance of the game in the 33rd minute for the Shaymen as Ben Tollitt played in Cruz Allen with a lovely through ball, but Allen dragged his shot just wide of the post.
Town also opened the scoring in the 35th minute after a driven ball across the box from Amari Morgan-Smith was turned in by the Town number 17, Ben Tollitt. Town really started to take control of the game.
The Shaymen won another corner in the 42nd minute after a fast counterattack. The resulting corner ultimately came to nothing after Morgan-Smith struck over from the edge of the box.
The referee blew the end to a lethargic first half from both teams, but the Shaymen had the better of the Wolverhampton side, generating multiple chances just before the half-time break, and one of those being the breakthrough goal for the Shaymen through the Number 17, Ben Tollitt.
Wolves made the only change at the break, with number 15 Lucas Rawlings entering the pitch for number 6 Makenzie Jack Bradbury.
The First chance of the second half once again went the Shaymen’s way in the 51st minute, with Cruz Allen cutting in on his left foot and attempting to find the top left corner, but just wide of the post.
Town found the net again in the 53rd minute after Deniche Hill completed a brilliant drag turn and found his teammate Cruz Allen, who finished off the move with a simple shot to the keeper’s right. The Shaymen really began to find their feet in the game and take the game away from their opponents.
The Shaymen found the back of the net once again in the 65th minute after Arian Allen made an incredible run and utilised his abundance of speed to get away from the opposition defender and found the top left corner with composure.
The first booking of the game went to the home side in the 70th minute and to Cruz Allen after a poorly timed challenge on the Wolverhampton attacker to obstruct the counterattack.
Theo Waiman also made his debut for the Shaymen in the 75th minute after entering the field for the captain, Cody Johnson.
The debutant Theo Wayman had a great strike on goal in the 86th minute, but the Wolves keeper parried it over.

Onto Saturday now for the Shaymen with a home fixture against Hornchurch.
