FC Halifax Town will host Woking at the Shay on Saturday in the Vanarama National League, 3pm kick-off.
It’s been a good week for Chris Millington’s side with two wins back to back. First up his side won 3-1 away at Dorking Wanderers last weekend and followed it up with an injury time winner in midweek to beat Maidenhead 2-1 at the Shay thanks to Aaron Cosgrave’s goal.
The results brought an end to a run of six league games without victory and Town sit in 9th place a point outside the play-off places.
Town have now won 5 on home soil, drawn 7 and lost four and now have a positive goal difference at the Shay thanks to Cosgrave’s late goal in midweek.
Woking are 21st in the table. Their home form has seen just three wins and four draws and nine defeats. They have picked up more points away from the Kingfield with six wins and three draws from their 16 games.
Last time out they drew 1-1 at home to Hartlepool last weekend and have won 1, drawn 1 and lost 1 all at home in their last three games.
Their last away game was at Oldham and a Jermaine Anderson goal gave the Cardinals all three points. The other away victories have come at Dorking, Eastleigh, AFC Fylde, Hartlepool and Gateshead
The two sides met at the Kingfield earlier in the season and a 90 + 7 goal from Tylor Golden followed an Angelo Cappello penalty turned the game on it’s head after Tim Odusina had given the home side the lead.
