FC Halifax Town defeated Wealdstone 2-0 at The Shay Stadium in a match that saw Harvey Gilmour play the full 90 minutes before chatting with Shaymen TV.

The winger began by expressing his thoughts, “We came out the blocks very sharp in the opening 20 minutes,” he said. “I thought that we dropped off before the end of the first half, however, then in the second half, we raised the tempo. Also, I just wanted to say congratulations to Billy Waters for the two goals.”

Gilmour made a nuisance of himself when attacking and spoke about his performance, “I thought I did okay, but I should’ve scored,” he stated. “The one where I played it to Gerry McDonagh to shoot, I think I should’ve hit that myself being in the position I was. Overall, the team did well, and getting back to winning ways is the main thing.”

Harvey added on the game plan that the side used to defeat Wealdstone, “To be honest, we knew how they’d play by dropping deep and most teams do that when they play at The Shay. However, you saw in the first 20 minutes that we had the hold of the match, and again, a massive well done to the team.”

Town’s number 20 ended by looking ahead to the upcoming game that sees Halifax play Solihull Moors, “Tuesday against Solihull is massive,” he said. “All the lads and coaches know that Tuesday will be a tough game, but I am confident that we will get the win.”
