Warrington Town: We’ve Met Before

Prior to Saturday’s 2-2 draw in the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round, The Shaymen’s last meeting with Warrington Town came in March 2010 in the Unibond First Division North. Town ran out 3-1 winners that day, with Nicky Gray scoring a brace and James Dean also on the scoresheet.

Earlier that season, Town beat Warrington 4-1 at The Shay in what was Neil Aspin’s first competitive game as Shaymen boss. Nicky Gray was again on the scoresheet, as were Tom Baker, Ryan Crossley and Mark Peers.

Town also took on Warrington in the first season of the reformed club; winning 1-0 at home and drawing 1-1 away at Cantilever Park.
