After Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Chesterfield, the official website caught up with FC Halifax Town manager Jamie Fullarton to preview our upcoming FA Cup clash with Warrington Town.

Matty Kosylo scored on his return from suspension but both Niall Maher and James Berrett were substituted due to injury and Town boss Fullarton gave us a quick update on the walking wounded.

“We had two changes to make that were forced upon us with Niall and James coming off. Obviously, it’s too early for us to say what the situation is. Also, Matty Brown has damaged his hamstring and won’t be available for quite a while.”

We hope that the squad is back to full strength soon as The Shaymen travel to Warrington Town in the 4th Qualifying Round of the FA Cup this coming Saturday. Fullarton can’t wait as he simply said:

“Cup tie, brilliant. FA Cup and the romance of it.”

Jamie knows the manager and our upcoming opponents quite well as he rattled off his knowledge of the Cheshire club.

“I know the manager very well, Paul Carden. There’s been big investment there, they missed out on the playoffs last season and they are going great guns this year. So, it’s a game that we’re looking forward to.”

The Shaymen will be looking to make it to the 1st Round proper of the FA Cup as kick off is scheduled for 3pm next Saturday at Cantilever Park. We hope to see you there.

The full interview with Jamie Fullarton is available right now on Shaymen TV.
