There were three games in the Vanarama National League.

Chesterfield missed the chance to go top of the table with their first defeat of the season losing 3-1 away at Woking.

Saidou Khan put the Spireites ahead but two goals from former Town man Tahvon Canpbell and a goal from Inih Effiong gave the Cards their third win of the campaign

With Chesterfield’s defeat, Grimsby Town also had the chance to go top of the table but they also lost their first game of the season with a 3-1 defeat away at Bromley.

Like Chesterfield they went ahead in the first half through John McAtee but second half goals from Michael Cheek, James Alabi and Corey Whitely saw Bromley take all three points. Grimsby finished the game with 10 men with Michee Efete sent off on 90 minutes.

Goals from Ryan Colclouth, Jake Moult, Dan Mooney and Josh Hancock helped Altrincham up to 8th in the table as they ran out 4-1 winners at home to strugglers King’s Lynn Town. The visitors scored late on through Junior Morias first league goal of the season.

Results:

Altrincham 4 King’s Lynn Town 1

Bromley 3 Grimsby Town 1

Woking 3 Chesterfield 1
