With FC Halifax Town continuing in the good start to the season after sweeping aside AFC Fylde 4-1 in the standout fixture of the national league in the 6th game this season. A game which saw each scorer on the scoresheet for The Shayman double their tally for the season.

Elsewhere in the Vanarama National League Bromley beat Boreham wood 1-0 with a goal on the verge of half time from Michael Cheek to move up the table into second position a point behind leaders Woking.

Chesterfield drew 2-2 at home to Barrow keeping them in the bottom half of the table after 6 games played.

In one of the lesser exciting games of the day Chorley drew 0-0 at Hartlepool and Eastleigh drew 1-1 with Dagenham and Redbridge in an early season seeming mid-table clash.

Notts County may feel disappointed after drawing 2-2 at bottom of the league Ebbsfleet, especially after showing signs of an improvement in form in recent weeks and off the back of a rough summer.

Just down the road in Harrogate the party wasn’t just at Leeds Fest but also at Town as they saw off Stockport Country 2-1 edging them further up the table after a drop in results the past few weeks flipped them from the top to 13th this week respectively.

Sutton lost 2-1 at home to Dover in a cagey affair in which 1 second half goal from Inih Effiong was all that separated the sides.

Elsewhere Woking saw off Halifax’s next home opponents Solihull 2-0 at home with early first half goals separated by just 4 minutes. The first of which coming from Jake Hyde and the second from Manny Power. The result moves Woking to top of the table with 6 games played.

Solihull may see this as a chance missed as an away win would’ve had them top the tree at this early stage of the season and will seek to make amends against Halifax next week.

Wrexham also drew at home to Barnet 1-1 with all goals in the game coming in the opening 10 minutes of the game. Johnathon Hooper opened the scoring after just 4 minutes before Barnet swiftly replied with a goal of their own from Daniel Sparkes. The result leaves both sides sniffing the play-off spots in 8th and 9th.

Maidenhead also overcame Yeovil Town 2-1 away from home though had a tough ending to the game with Yeovil scoring in the 86th minute making it a nervy affair at the end. Maidenhead finish the 6th round of the national league 5th place behind Halifax only on goal difference.

In the late kick off Torquay beat strugglers Aldershot 2-0 to wedge a space in between Dover and Sutton and take the 7th spot, with two goals either side of half time enough to see off Aldershot and leave them 22nd in th relegation places.
