Crunch time is upon us here at the MBi Shay Stadium as we prepare for our final home fixture of the league season against Curzon Ashton, looking to give a huge boost to our promotion push ahead of our final-day visit to Chorley the following weekend.

With teams, all over the Vanarama National League North with plenty to play for, here is the latest news from around the grounds…

Bradford Park Avenue management duo Mark Bower and Danny Boshell have extended their contracts at the club until 2019.

The two had worked together at Guiseley for three years before last year’s departure from Nethermoor, achieving promotion to the National League in 2015 and survival the following season. Player-assistant Boshell scored in Bradford’s 1-1 draw with title favourites AFC Fylde to preserve their status in the league, after the pair took over the reins in September with the club bottom of the pile.

Nuneaton Town have promoted 17-year-old forward Michael Gyasi to the first-team squad for the end of the campaign. Former Germany under-15 international Gyasi had recently been on loan at Heather St. John’s in the Midland League, netting five goals in four appearances. The attacker was also previously on the books of the past two English champions, Chelsea and Leicester City.

One club with all to play for in an increasingly fierce survival fight are Stalybridge. The Tameside outfit once appeared dead and buried with basement side Altrincham, but have put together a much-improved run of form ahead of the final furlong of their season. Unfortunately for those at Bower Fold, two impressive wins against the top two title fighters have been followed up by narrow defeats to Gloucester and Chorley. Stalybridge do however have a game in hand on rivals Worcester and Gainsborough, six points adrift of safety.
