Maidstone United have been without a manager since Harry Wheelerโ€™s departure in December. However, the club have now confirmed that they will be announcing Wheelerโ€™s replacement tomorrow. The side who are in the National League relegation zone have ensured that caretaker manager, Simon Walton will remain at the club, as a player-coach.

The Kent club has lost three of its last five league games, most recently a 3-0 defeat at home to 13th placed, Dagenham & Redbridge.

It is reported that former England international, David Beckham, has purchased a 10% share in National League side, Salford City. Beckham, who spent a lot of time in his youth growing up in Salford, joins the likes of Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Gary and Phil Neville and Nicky Butt at Moor Lane.

In other news, following FC Halifax Town U19โ€™s away game at Darlington being postponed, the next upcoming game is scheduled for next Wednesday at home to Carlisle United in the National League U19s Alliance League.
