Since the unfortunate postponement of the Leyton Orient fixture, the Shaymen got the weekend off and await their next fixture against Bromley. Let’s see how events are shaping around the Vanarama National League as we reach the weekend.

A couple of Europe’s biggest clubs grace the EBB Stadium this Friday, 26 January, as their Academies compete in the Premier League International Cup.

Kick-off is 7.05pm as Bayern Munich and FC Porto meet in a Group E clash in the tournament featuring the Academies of 12 English teams and 12 elite sides from across Europe. Admission is just £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.

Tranmere Rovers winger Elliot Rokka will remain on loan at Evostik NPL side Colwyn Bay for another month.

Having joined at the end of December, the 21-year-old has helped the Bay to two wins and a draw from his three appearances to date, with one goal to his name.

AFC Fylde have announced that Building work is full steam ahead at Mill Farm’s £400,000 state-of-the-art Education Centre.

Opening this year, the two-storey building will house six changing rooms with shower facilities; four multipurpose classroom spaces for AFC Fylde Community Foundation’s educational and health and wellbeing programmes; a modern IT suite and an 180sq/m function room with canteen and bar.

The centre will also boast six 7-a-side football pitches, an 11-a-side pitch and a full-size hockey pitch. The hockey pitch is already being used by both Fylde and England Hockey clubs as one of five national centres for the international set-up, whilst the football pitches are nearing completion.

Former Hartlepool United skipper Billy Paynter will be alongside Mark Simpson for full live commentary of Tuesday evening’s game at Chester on Pools Player HD.

Paynter – who scored 19 goals in 61 games before leaving the Club at the end of last season – will join our live coverage from The Deva Stadium to keep fans all over the world up to date.

Fans will be able to hear what he thinks about the current situation at the Club and take in his expert views as Craig Harrison’s men return to action against The Blues.

Leyton Orient have confirmed that defender Bondz N’Gala has returned to National League side Dagenham & Redbridge following the conclusion of his loan on January 20.

The 28-year-old made seven appearances for the O’s since joining on November 23, scoring in the 2-0 win over Maidstone United.

Barrow have announced that goalkeeper Stuart Moore and forward Adi Yussuf have left the Bluebirds by mutual agreement.

The pair moves on as first team manager Ady Pennock continues to prepare his squad for the second half of our Vanarama National League campaign.

Finally, Torquay United midfielder Sam Chaney is to stay with Whitehawk on loan until the end of the season.

Chaney, 21, joined the Hawks in mid-November and has featured heavily far for the National League South side.

That’s all for this week, we’ll see you at Hayes Lane for the match against Bromley. Enjoy the game.
