FC Halifax Town U19’s came back on the pitch for another week of fixtures as the two under 19 teams that played this week respectively had Farsley Celtic and Burnley FC.
Coach Jack Garside’s under 19s took on Farsley Celtic in an away fixture as the team took a defeat losing by 3-2 to Farsley. A game where the young Shaymen took the lead 2-0 by the end of the first half, however, in the second half two poor decisions from the officials led to Garside team conceding two more goals and eventually adding a third to win the game.
Garside said, “We were 2-0 up at half time and played a brilliant first half, should of being 3-4 goals up, In the second half, the opposition played more direct and caused us problems, two poor decisions from the officials have led to us conceding. “
He concluded, “The lads were great and will learn from it.”
Garside’s team finally moves from the bottom spot as they now overtake Boston United.
Nick Spooner’s under 19 team also lost in a difficult game 5-1 at home against Burnley FC under 19 in the Northwest National Youth League.
Spooners’ side sits sixth in this league division as they stay on 18 points join sixth with Everton FC.
