Halifax Town U19’s played again this week with both teams achieving victories after disappointing losses last week.
Town’s U19’s A played away against Wythenshaw in the second round of the FA Youth cup, coming out with an impressive win as the Town’s scored six goals past Wythenshaw and progressed into the third qualifying round of the FA Youth Cup.
The goals came from Harvey Coates who was the U19’s captain on the day, Kameron Ali, a double by Lewis Barlow, Favour Gold and Sam Flinch.
Garside spoke after the game as he said “A really pleasing performance from the lads tonight. “
“He continued, “They won their battles all over the pitch and earned the right to play. They executed set pieces from the training ground clinically and showed composure in the final third which is something we asked for after the last couple of games.”
A great reaction from Garside’s men as they put past the defeat occurred last week.
Halifax Town U19’s B went against Basford United at home ground. They also went on and found a win as they beat Basford 3-1 with a double by Max Walker and Bailey Thompson also on the score sheet.
Nick Spooner’s men also come back from a defeat last week as they lost 3-2 to Stockport County.
