FC Halifax Town can confirm the signing of defender Tristan Gill, on a youth loan from Championship side Derby County.
A product of the youth system at Derby, Gill signed his first professional contract with the club in January 2025. Having joined at under 12s level, Gill started at under 18 level in 2023, making 11 appearances over the course of that season. The following year, the left-sided defender spent time with the under 21s, making six appearances in Premier League 2.
Last campaign, Gill spent time under John McGrath on loan at Buxton. The defender made four appearances in his one-month stay at the Bucks, winning two and losing two. The full back played the full 90 minutes against The Shaymen in the National League Cup in August.
