FC Halifax Town make the long trip to the south coast this weekend to take on league leaders Torquay United in front of the BT Sport cameras, 5.20pm kick-off.
It’s back to back away games for Town after a midweek trip to North London and a 2-1 defeat to Barnet.
Pete Wild’s squad have one win in six and will be looking to improve on last year’s results against Torquay. The two sides met at Plainmoor back in February 2020 and the Devon side won 1-0 and they also won the match at te Shay in November 2019 with a 4-2 victory.
However Town did beat Torquay last season with a 2-1 win in the FA Trophy thanks to goals from Tobi Sho-Silva and Josh Staunton.
This season Torquay are 7 points clear of 2nd placed Sutton United but have played three games more at this stage.
They haven’t win at home in their last three attemts with Altrincham and Dagenham both winning at Plainmoor and a point with Boreham Wood.
