FC Halifax Town are delighted to confirm the signing of goalkeeper Toby Savin, on loan from League One side Shrewsbury Town for the remainder of the season.
Having spent time in various youth academies, Savin made his breakthrough at Accrington Stanley. The goalkeeper made his debut for Stanley in 2019 in an EFL Trophy win over Fleetwood Town. In December 2019, Savin was sent on loan to Stalybridge Celtic, but was recalled just one month later. Savin made his league debut for the club in September 2020 against Peterborough United, and he went on to make 31 league appearances that season.
In February 2023, the goalkeeper joined Stevenage Town on an emergency loan, and made four appearances during his time there. Savin made over 100 appearances in all competitions during his time with Accrington.
In June 2024, Savin made the switch to current club Shrewsbury, signing a two-year contract. So far this season, Savin has made 25 appearances for Salop in all competitions and had a brief spell on loan at Barnet in February, where he made two appearances, winning both and conceding just one.
