FC Halifax Town are pleased to confirm the signing of midfielder Tayt Trusty, from Isthmian League Premier Division side Eastbourne Borough.
Coming through the youth system at Blackpool, Trusty signed his first professional contract in January 2022. That month, the midfielder spent a month on loan with Radcliffe in the Northern Premier League. He made four appearances before returning to the Championship side. The following season, Trusty spent time on loan at Hyde United in the Northern Premier League, making five appearances and scoring once.
In January 2023, Trusty spent the second half of the season on loan at Hartlepool United in League Two. He made four appearances before returning to Blackpool and was awarded a new one-year contract. Following the 2023/24 season, Trusty was released by Blackpool and signed for Maidstone United in the National League South. He made 31 league appearances as The Stones finished 7th, losing to Boreham Wood in the playoff final.
His next move was to Eastbourne Borough, whom Maidstone had defeated in the playoff semi-final the previous season. Trusty made over 50 appearances for the Sports, but couldn’t prevent their relegation as they finished bottom of the National League South. Whilst on the books at Blackpool, the midfielder was called up to the Cyprus under 21 squad.
