FC Halifax Town will finish the third game at the Shay this week with the visit of Tamworth to the Shay tomorrow, 12.30pm kick-off.
The Shaymen last weekend lost 3-1 on the first h0me game of the season to Boreham Wood but followed it up with a 6-2 victory over Derby County PL2 in the National League Cup in midweek.
It’s two defeats in two in the National League as manager John McGrath will be looking for his first league win as Town boss and looking to climb from the 20th place his side sit in.
Tamworth are 16th in the table, they picked up a 3-3 draw against Boreham Wood on the opening day of the season with a Ben Milnes penalty 12 minutes into second half injury time earning them a point following Matt Rush’s earlier hattrick for the Wood.
On home soil last week they lost 2-1 against AFC Fylde with two late first half goals giving the Coasters victory. The Lambs finished the game with ten men with Joe Rye sent off during the game.
They got their first victory of the campaign with a 5-3 win over Newcastle United PL2 in the National League Cup in midweek

The two sides met at the Shay back in April and the game finished 2-2. Stefan Mols put the Lambs ahead, Jay Turner-Cooke and Will Smith put Town ahead but Andy Peaks side earnt a point with Oli Lynch’s equaliser. Luke Fairlamb was sent off for the visitors.
