There were some delayed fireworks on New Year’s Day, when FC Halifax Town climbed into fifth place and the play-off spots with a dramatic 3-all draw with Gateshead at the Shay.
Town’s away form has dramatically improved as of late and SkyBet know this, which is why a Halifax win at third-bottom team Tamworth is priced at 11/8. To bring the high-flying Shaymen down a notch, Tamworth are priced at 17/10, slight underdogs. Town have bagged 25 goals in their last ten games which includes three consecutive losses, so they are no stranger to big score-lines. Halifax wins of 3-0 or 4-0 are priced at 22/1 and 50/1 respectively. If you fancy Town to ship a few goals then you’ll be looking at 100/1 for a 4-3 Town win.
Much like the Shaymen, Tamworth are stubborn at home so if you fancy a slightly scrappier affair you can get odds of 8/1, 11/1 and 8/1 on the 1-0, 2-0 and 2-1 Halifax wins. Tamworth to win 1-0 or 2-1 are both priced at 9/1.
If you like a flutter on first team to score then why not chuck a few quid on Halifax at 5/6? No goal at all, in a Halifax game? Shocking I know, but then an end comes to just about everything. Especially as though Tamworth have failed to score in 13 of their games. Halifax have failed to find the net just four times this season so for 12/1, it could just be worth a stab.
Under 2.5 goals will get you even money, while ten of your great British pounds would return just over £17 for over 2.5 goals. Obviously the Skrill Conference is making a name for itself when it comes to what we all love, goals. So both teams to score is 8/13.
Perhaps the most in-form striker in non-league football, Lee Gregory who has 14 goals in 18 games, gave the Shaymen a healthy lead, finding the back of the net twice inside 13-minutes in their last game. A repeat of this is a match special: Halifax to score 2+ in the first half – 11/2. All other match specials include: Tamworth to score 2+ in the first half is 13/2. Both teams to score in the first half is 3/1. Tamworth to score in the first 10mins is 13/2, with Halifax to score in the first 10mins is 6/1.
