FC Halifax Town U19s were defeated 3-2 by Stockport County after a hard-fought performance. The Town started off on the back foot as they conceded from an early penalty in the eighth minute, The hosts lead was doubled in the 30th minute after an impressive long-range strike.
Halifax reacted well at the start of the second as it didn’t take long for the Town to pull one back courtesy of Callum Nicholson who finished off a well worked free kick routine, The Town remained chasing the game, however Stockport capitalised on this as they caught the visitors on the break making it 3-1 to the home side.
Town didn’t give up and pegged another back, as Olaf Figurmy was taken down in the box giving Halifax a penalty, which was dispatched by Finley Monroe. This led to a nervy end to the game, but Stockport County came out 3-2 victors.
