FC Halifax Town went over The Pennines to Stockport County on Boxing Day. Unfortunately for The Shaymen the result didn’t go our way and the home side ran out 5-1 winners. After the game defender Michael Duckworth spoke to Shaymen TV starting with his thoughts of the game.

“We weren’t good enough today, one to eleven. We started the game slow, conceded so many sloppy goals today probably the worst we’ve been all year. Overall, not a good day at the office. All the goals came from inside the box, I’d say the goals were easily avoidable. Which is still no excuse as we weren’t good enough today.”

Now football is in the middle of the festive period games are a plenty for players and fans. With Chesterfield next up for Town.

“Games come thick and fast over the Christmas period so good chance to put this behind us.
The Chesterfield game will be physical as always. Guessing they will travel well and bring a few fans. It is going to be another tough game, but every game is this league is tough. So, we have just got to roll our sleeves up and forget about this game and hopefully get three points on Saturday.”

You can watch the full interview with Duckworth on Shaymen TV.
