FC Halifax Town are delighted to announce the signing of striker Dayle Southwell from local neighbours Guiseley. The 24-year-old joins The Shaymen on a 2 year deal committing himself to the Club for the 2018/19 & 19/20 campaigns.
Dayle has enjoyed spells at Grimsby Town, Boston Utd, Wycombe Wanderers and latterly Guiseley.
Town Boss Jamie Fullarton told the official website ” I first came across Dayle in 2013 when he broke into the Grimsby first team as a teenager where I tried to sign him for Bolton Wanderers. Unfortunately it never happened for one reason or another but I have tracked his progress since and after 6 years I am delighted to finally get the opportunity to work with him. It has been a long drawn out process over recent weeks,which has required patience and hard work of people behind the scenes at the club in order to make this happen. I have no doubts the effort by all involved to bring Dayle to the club will pay dividends with what he will contribute on the pitch”
