FC Halifax Town will make the trip south to Southend United on Tuesday nightΒ in the Vanarama National League, 745pm kick-off.

Town progressed in the FA Trophy at the weekend with a penalty shoot out win at Maidenhead United.

The Shaymen lost 3-1 at home to Barnet last week but last time in the league away from home saw a 1-0 win at local neighbours Oldham at Boundary Park.

It’s just one win in the league in 7 games and Town sit 15th in the table.

Southend are 6th in the table with 7 home wins, 4 draws and 4 defeats on home soil this season

They beat Maidenhead 2-1 at York Road last week whilst they won 2-0 at home to York in the league.

Southend have picked up 11 points from the last 24 on offer.

Former Town striker Jake Hyde currently plys his trade at Roots Hall

The two sides drew 0-0 at the Shay back in August 2022.
