FC Halifax Town share the points with Solihull Moors at the Wyke Sports Village in the Academy North Division. A 2-2 draw was the outcome with both sides giving it their all until the very last minute.

There was a good chance early on for Town, Steven MacSween played the ball down the right to Mthabisi Chinembiri. He played it into the box to Nelson Van but just one too many touches gave the defenders enough time to recover the ball

Reece Carrington was bombing down the left causing havoc with Rico Kilbourne. Kilbourne whipped a lovely cross in but Van couldn’t quite get on the end of it

A high press from Solihull saw goalkeeper Kyle Buckingham’s pass intercepted leaving an open goal but Carrington’s amazing work ethic prevented Solihull from scoring arguably their easiest chance

An excellent run in behind the last defenders from Chinembiri but he was pulled down resulting in a yellow card for the defender and a free kick

In the 41st minute, Solihull Moors opened the scoring. A ball over the top from a counterattack put their winger through who converted to make it 1-0

HALF TIME: FC Halifax Town  0-1  Solihull Moors

In the 53rd minute, MacSween gently clipped a ball towards the back post and it was met by the head of substitute Andre McKenzie but unfortunately his header ended up hitting the post

Only five minutes after that Town equalised. Kilbourne sprinted down the left flank and drove a low cross into the box. The two centre halves took each other out leaving a tap in for Van to convert claiming the equaliser, 1-1

An excellent save from point blank range from Buckingham stopped Solihull from regaining their lead after a bullet header from a corner

In the 78th minute, Town took the lead. Amari Sokini was nearly taken down but did well to stay on his feet. He carried the ball and cut it back to McKenzie who rifled it into the top right making the score 2-1

Only 4 minutes later, Solihull equalised. A header from a corner gave Solihull the equaliser and the final goal in the match
