Good afternoon, and welcome to you all. This is only our second home League fixture to be held on a Saturday since before Christmas, so it may be some time since many of you were here. Some may also have had trouble in purchasing a matchday programme of late, as although plenty are available each match (I have checked this) there seems to be a shortage in the South Stand area on occasions.

First of all, a message from Committee member Phil Knott: โ€œWell done to all those mad keen (they might be mad but they’re certainly keen) Town supporters who deciphered my scribblings on the back of a fag packet and took a little stroll to Guiseley last weekend. They didn’t let a few flakes of snow, a bit of a breeze or a temperature that wasn’t quite enough to let them fry eggs on the pavement put them off. Hopefully, when it’s all been totted up, their sponsorship will have made a couple of bob for the club, so thank you all once again gang, you made my planning effort worthwhileโ€.

In simple terms, Phil is explaining that the sponsored walk to Guiseley last Saturday went very well, despite the adverse weather conditions. Anyone who wishes to add to the amount already raised should speak to the regular bucket collectors today or next match. I should also add a special โ€œwell doneโ€ to Phil, due to the time and effort I know he spent organising the event.

You will be aware that our nominated Supporters Club sponsored match against Sutton earlier this month was postponed due to the weather. We have agreed with FCHT to carry our sponsorship forward to the rearranged date of Tuesday April 10th, and although some fans may not be able to attend on the new date, others will hopefully now be available. The price remains at ยฃ40 for season ticket holders and ยฃ50 for others. Should you wish to join us, just contact the usual suspects.

Thatโ€™s it for now, but with home matches coming up regularly over the next few weeks, Iโ€™ll see you soon!
