FC Halifax Town will entertain Solihull Moors at the Shay on Bank Holiday Monday, 3pm kick-off.
The Shaymen returned north on Friday night with a 1-1 draw at Dagenham & Redbridge thanks to Andrew Oluwabori’s late strike cancelling out Josh Rees’ 1st half goal.
Town have so far played three at home with a 2-1 win over league promotion favourites Barnet, a 1-0 defeat to Aldershot and a 1-1 draw with Gateshead.
The four goals that the Shaymen have scored so far have all come from different players with Jamie Cooke, Adam Adetoro, Adam Senior and Andrew Oluwabori all on target for Chris Millington’s side.
Whilst Town are 16th in the table, Solihull are two places below in 18th after 4 games with a win and a draw on home soil but two defeats on the road
They have been defeated 3-2 at AFC Fylde on the opening day of the season and last weekend 2-1 at Eastleigh
So far they have scored 6 goals in 4 games with Bradley Stevenson their top goalscorer with 2 goals having coming off the bench late in the second half at Eastleigh and at home to Braintree Town.
Last season the two sides met in the play-off eliminator when Solihull booked their place in the semi-finals beating Town 4-2.
In the regular season Town lost 3-1 at home with Alex Whitmore, Callum Maycock and Jack Stevens putting them into a three goal lead, Luke Summerfield scored from the penalty spot, whilst at the Armco Arena Josh Kelly’s first half goal was cancelled out by Jo Cumming’s goal to earn the Shaymen a point
