FC Halifax Town will host Solihull Moors at the Shay on Tuesday night in our last scheduled Tuesday night fixture of the Vanarama National League season.
The game was rearranged from March due to Solihull’s run in the FA Trophy and it will be 2nd vs 4th going into the game with just two points separating the sides.
Town returned to winning ways at the weekend with a 2-0 victory over Wealdstone at the Shay, the first of three home games in a week and saw us move back up to 2nd in the table with two goals from top goalscorer Billy Waters.
The result came after two away defeats which had ended a run of five straight wins in the league.
Pete Wild’s side have now won all of their last five home matches this season
Solihull are unbeaten in 13 games with 31 points picked up out of the last 39. They have scored in each of their last 9 games and have won their last four in a row.
They beat Maidenhead 3-1 at home at the weekend, a 3-2 victory at Woking, a 2-1 at Grimsby and a 5-3 victory over Eastleigh on home soil.
Neal Ardnley’s side have won 8 games, drawn 5 and lost three away from Damson Park scoring 22 goals and conceding 17. No side has scored more at home this season than Soluhull with 43, Notts County are 2nd with 36.
They will have former Town midfieldee Lois Maynard in their squad
Andrew Dallas is their top goalscorer with 16 goals from 33 appearances whilst Joe Sbarra is close behind with 14 from 34 games.
Solihull won the reverse fixture 1-0 at Damson Park back in October thanks to Callum Maycock’s second half goal
