FC Halifax Town’s Jeff King spoke to Shaymen TV following Town’s 2-1 victory at home to Solihull Moors.

Overall thoughts on the game please?

β€œI thought we always looked a threat, we looked the better team overall and we all knew what we were gonna do and what the game plan was gonna be. We can break and we always look dangerous when we do and we deserved the win.”

We saw a different formation from Town today setting as a 442 rather than a 4231, how much important is it for the squad to be able to mix things like that up?

β€œYeah, the fans have seen we can have Tobi up front, we can have Liam and we can have Cammy in behind or Jack Earing in behind. There’s so much competition, you’ve got to be on it because if not someone’s gonna come and take your shirt, so it’s massive for us that everyone’s on it, every day. You can see on the pitch our fitness levels are one of the best in the league, if not the best

On a personal level, you’ve been with the club for just over a month now, can you just talk us through how you feel it’s gone for you?

β€œIt’s been brilliant. Everyone from the manager, the staff, everyone around the club, fans, players, they’ve been brilliant with me. It’s a real home club, and we wear the famous colour blue which is even better for me! But it’s been brilliant, and long may it continue.”

What are the feelings in the camp ahead of the trip to Chesterfield in Tuesday?

β€œWe’re confident, it’ll be a hard game but we’ll keep working and hopefully our reward will come.”
