A little bit of history has been written as we announce the Enterprise National League award
winners for September.
For only the second time, a player has gone back-to-back and been recognised in corresponding
months – step forward Mani Dieseruvwe.
After hitting the ground running with a five-goal August, the Rochdale centre-forward scored
four times in his three games as the club continued their fine start to the 2025/26 campaign.
Never before have one club claimed three of the four awards in the opening two months, and
while the panel decided it wasn’t to be another Dale double after Jimmy McNulty’s win last
month, their striker is back for more.
He saw off competition from Matt Rush (Boreham Wood), Alex Hunt (York City) and Kain Adom
(Gateshead) for the Player of the Month award as the select panel made their decision.
Dieseruvwe did it with doubles in the 2-0 victories over Braintree Town and Carlisle United.
The new signing has taken no time to settle – and neither has another new arrival.
Promoted Boreham Wood’s blistering start to the season hasn’t gone unnoticed, and Luke
Garrard takes home the Manager of the Month award.
He faced stiff competition in four-from-four McNulty at Rochdale and Richard Dryden at Yeovil
Town, with Robbie Savage also nominated following a great month at Forest Green.
But the panel couldn’t ignore the facts – no manager collected more points anywhere than
Garrard in September.
He gathered 17 from a possible 21, winning five times to push Boreham Wood in with some
impressive company at the top of the Enterprise National League table.
They beat Sutton United, Morecambe, Altrincham, Boston and Woking, while also earning not-tobe-
sniffed-at points against Scunthorpe United and Southend United.
Congratulations, Mani and Luke!
