FC Halifax Town will host local neighbours Rochdale at the Shay in the Vanarama National League on Saturday, 3pm kick-off.
It will be a festive meeting for the two sides in the final game before Christmas Day with just a point separating the two sides as Town lead the way with 35 points and a game in hand over their Lancashire neighbours.
Town have won four, drawn five and lost two on home soil this season and are just a place outside the play-offs. They come into the game on the back of a 2-0 victory at Gateshead last week in front of the TNT Sports cameras thanks to goals from Kane Thompson-Sommers and Millenic Alli.
The win at the International Stadium halted a run of two defeats and a draw in their previous three games and Town will be looking for a first home win since a 1-0 victory over Wealdstone on the 18th November
Rochdale have failed to score in their last two games which have seen a point at home to York City 0-0 and a 1-0 defeat away at Bromley
They picked up four wins out of five in the league prior to the last two games and have picked up 14 points from their last 24 on offer.
Kairo Mitchell is their top scorer with 10 goals in 21 games but he is out injured, then follows Tyrese Sinclair with 8 goals.
There will be a couple of familar faces in the Dale squad Devante Rodney and Harvey Gilmour will return to the Shay.
The two sides met at Spotland back in September when the Shaymen returned to West Yorkshire with all three points thanks to Rob Harker’s first half goal.
