FC Halifax Town are delighted to confirm the signing of full back Raheem Conte, following a spell at Morecambe.
Having spent time in the academy at Brentford, Conte made the switch to Queens Park Rangers’ youth set up at under 14s level. In the summer of 2019, the defender signed a scholarship deal. At the end of the 2021-22 campaign, Conte turned down the offer to stay at the club and sign a short-term deal. He made the move instead to Cardiff City, signing a one-year deal. Despite suffering injuries in his first season at the club, an option was taken to extend his deal.
In April 2024, Conte made his senior debut for the club, as a substitute in a 2-1 win over Southampton. In August that year, the defender joined National League side Woking on a season-long loan deal. However, after just 13 appearances, Conte was recalled by Cardiff in January 2025. The full back was released by Cardiff that summer, and joined Morecambe in late August. Having made 17 league appearances last season, Conte was released by Morecambe in the summer.
