FC Halifax Town will make the short trip to Pontefract Collieries tomorrow in the Emirates FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round.

Both sides know that the win will put them into the 1st Round Draw on Sunday lunchtime which sees the EFL League One and League Two clubs join the competition.

The Shaymen went out of the competition last season with a 2-0 defeat at South Shields and manager Pete Wild will be hoping his side can make sure a defeat against lower division opposition doesn’t happen this season.

Town are 3rd in the Vanarama National League and on a 7 match unbeaten run but the FA Cup always springs surprises and Town will need to make sure that they don’t allow an upset.

Our hosts are in the Northern Premier Division One East and they have done well to reach this stage.

In the last round they beat Handsworth FC 6-0 at home, won 3-2 away at Squires Gates, 3-0 away at Barnoldswick Town and 1-0 away at Goole AFC

The draw for the 1st Round is on Sunday, 1.05pm.
